What is Soundsory?
Soundsory is a gentle, home-based auditory and movement programme that supports regulation, coordination and sensory integration.
The Soundsory programme combines specially modulated music with simple daily movement exercises to support the nervous system — particularly for children (and adults) with sensory processing differences, developmental delays, or regulation challenges.
It is a product that you buy once and own for a one-off cost – unlike competitors that require a therapist’s regular input, or an expensive monthly subscription.
Many families ask me whether Soundsory is worth trying — especially when therapy feels slow, inaccessible, or overwhelming.
How do I know whether Soundsory is right for my child, right now?
Works well for:
- Sensory processing difficulties
- Poor coordination or balance
- Auditory sensitivity or under-responsiveness
- Emotional regulation challenges
- Neurodivergent children who struggle with traditional therapy formats
- You are on a budget and want to lead the process yourself
May not be right if:
- Your child cannot tolerate headphones at all (yet)
- You’re looking for a quick fix
- You’re already overwhelmed and can’t commit to short daily input without a therapist
How Soundsory Works (Simply)
- 2 × 30-minute listening sessions per day
- Special bone-conduction headphones
- Rhythmic movement exercises alongside the music
- Designed to stimulate vestibular, auditory and proprioceptive systems together
Why Move2Connect recommends Soundsory
I don’t recommend tools lightly. Soundsory is one of the few home programmes I’ve seen that respects the nervous system rather than trying to ‘train it into submission’.
I often suggest it when families need something structured, predictable and gentle — especially when weekly therapy isn’t accessible or sustainable.
